In 1977 WAGO Corp. invented and patented a spring pressure wire connection system trade named CAGE CLAMP. This innovative product development has revolutionized wiring systems. The product reduces wiring time by at least 50% while eliminating loose connections due to shock vibration or temperature fluctuations. The Cage Clamp system is used in a wide range of high reliability applications from elevator control, shipboard applications, military applications, trains and automotive applications, etc.

The CAGE CLAMP system accepts wire gauges from 000 to 28 AWG. The system will accommodate all types of wire including solid, stranded, fine stranded, tinned wire, crimped ferrules, and crimped pin terminals.
