Microglyph® is an innovative technology which significantly increases the readability and reliability of direct-part-marked barcode reading. The technology allows almost any surface to be direct barcode marked for tracking and traceability. One of the codes unique properties is adaptability to arbitrary surface shapes and structures. The picture above shows an example of a user defined FreeForm microglyph®. Its ring-like shape adapts to the geometry of the surface.

Unlike a conventional Matrix- or 1D Barcode, the basic principle of this technology uses tiny, 45 degrees diagonal lines (the micro“glyphs”) for coding binary data. The data is encrypted with a high degree of redundancy. This allows for much easier and reliable reading.
